Telluride and Mountain Village are located in Southwestern Colorado in the beautiful San Juan Mountains.

Travelers are served via Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) and Telluride Regional Airport (TEX).
Telluride Regional Airport sits atop Deep Creek Mesa and is North America's highest commercial airport.
At 9,070 feet above sea level, the airport offers picturesque views of the San Juan Mountains and an exciting landing.
Montrose Regional Airport is 68 miles (1.5 hour drive) from Telluride, while the Telluride Regional Airport is only 5 miles (15 minutes) from either Telluride or Mountain Village.
Additional flights into Durango (DRO), 125 miles from Telluride; Cortez (CEZ), 80 miles from Telluride; and Grand Junction (GTJ), 130 miles from Telluride are also available.

- There are several different ways for getting from both airports to The Peaks Resort.
The two most popular options are renting a car or taking a shuttle service.
If arriving in Montrose, you will want to make your decision based on the number of people in your party.
If you have 4 or more people traveling with you, renting a car is probably your cheapest option.
If you have less than 4 people or if you prefer the convenience of having someone else doing the driving, a shuttle service is your best bet.
No matter what your decision, once you arrive in Mountain Village, you will not need a car for getting around town or down to Telluride.
Everything is within walking distance or reachable by the free gondola.
There is even a gondola to the local supermarket.
In fact, if you have rented a car, you may find that it sat in the same parking spot at the hotel at the cost of $18 per night.
- Driving Directions to The Peaks Resort:
- From Telluride Regional Airport (approx. 5 miles): Take Airport Road to the highway intersection, and make a right toward Hwy 145.
Make a left on Hwy 145 toward Mountain Village. Follow Hwy 145 until you see the entrance to Mountain Village on your left.
Turn left onto Mountain Village Blvd. and follow approximately two miles to Country Club Drive and make a left.
The resort will be on your left hand side.
- From Montrose Regional Airport (approx. 65 miles): Take Highway 550 to Ridgway.
From Ridgway take Hwy 62 (approximately 23 miles) and make a left on to Hwy 145 toward Placerville.
Continue on Hwy 145 for approximately 16 miles then make a right toward Mountain Village & continuing on Hwy 145.
Follow Hwy 145 until you see the entrance to Mountain Village on the left.
Turn left onto Mountain Village Blvd. and follow approximately two miles to Country Club Drive, make a left.
The resort will be on the left hand side.
- Durango-La Plata County Airport (approx. 120 miles): Take Highway 550 to Highway 160 West, to Highway 184 (at Mancos).
Make a right on to Highway 145 North; follow this till you see the entrance to Mountain Village on the right (approximately 55 miles).
Turn right onto Mountain Village Blvd. and follow approximately 2 miles to Country Club Drive, make a left.
The resort will be on the left hand side.
