Muon Collider 2011

Physics — Detectors — Accelerators

June 27-July 1, 2011 — Telluride

Goals

Recent progress in Muon Collider R&D, together with a growing appreciation that we may need a multi-TeV lepton collider to follow the LHC, has led to the launching of MAP, a new Muon Accelerator Program focused on Muon Collider (and Neutrino Factory) R&D. The resulting enhanced accelerator R&D program, together with associated physics, background, and detector studies, provides opportunities for greater community involvement. The workshop will review the physics case for a Muon Collider, accelerator R&D progress, the outstanding challenges, future plans, and opportunities for new and existing groups to participate in the R&D.
