Welcome to HB2021!
On behalf of the Organizing Committees, we are pleased to announce that the
64th ICFA Advanced Beam Dynamics Workshop on High Intensity and High
Brightness Hadron Beams will be held this fall, October 4-9, 2021. The workshop will
be preceded by two special sessions on Sunday, October 3, in honor of the late V. Danilov
and and Y. Alexahin and their seminal contributions to our field.
The ICFA HB workshop is the premier international event focused on the latest
developments and insights into the physics of high-intensity hadron beams.
Initially planned for 2020 at Fermilab –where the series originated in 2002 —
the workshop had to be postponed by a year in the hope that an “in person” meeting
would by then, be possible.
As the COVID-19 situation remains uncertain, we have decided to hold a live,
though purely virtual event. Unfortunately, multiple time zones are not conducive
to a full length workshop. The program will therefore include shorter invited talks both
in plenary and parallel sessions, in the usual 5 Working Groups.
Pre-recorded short talks are foreseen in lieu of posters. More details will be provided
as they become available.
