Meetings of US DOE PIs with Alan Stone

Bio:

Alan Stone is the director for budget and strategic planning with the Office of High Energy Physics (HEP) at the Office of Science (SC). He is responsible for the formulation and execution of the $1B program, and the implementation guided by the community-driven long-range plan. Alan works closely with leadership and scientific staff at the DOE national labs on SC and HEP strategic initiatives and tactical planning, including: fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce; revitalizing the science and technology infrastructure; and developing a robust long-term budget process. Alan is dedicated to coaching early-stage career scientists who are navigating the next steps in their career. Prior to coming to DOE in 2009, Alan worked at Fermilab and CERN on particle collider physics. He received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 1999.

Office Hours:

Dr. Alan Stone from DOE has kindly agreed to meet via Zoom with any interested investigator(s) to discuss the HEP program. If so, please feel free to complete the doodle poll that will be/has been emailed out using the Snowmass neutrino mailing list.

– All time slots are 30 minutes each and in the afternoon so as not to overlap with the conference.

– Please select all timeslots for which you are available to meet. This is not a “first come, first serve” schedule.

– Make your selections by Monday June 22nd. A schedule with zoom connection information will be distributed by Tuesday morning.
