I agree with Michelangelo's suggestion. I have advocated myself that
we need somebody
who can relate to the BSM connection   in the theory talk, but still
I would give highest
priority to Scott. One more possible theorists name that you may want
to think of
is  may be Eric Leannen.

      MLM> SIlvestrini would be my first choice. he has a very
      good overall
      picture, including the BSM aspects.

 
      my second choise will be Nierste. I agree with MLM's
      choice of first choice

      (Arkani-Hamed, Csaki, Pomarol, Ratazzi, Fox, Dobrescu)
      MLM> Nima would be great, but it's risky to invite him,
      he could show
      up 5' before (or after!) the start of his talk .... For a
      young
      emerging star, I would propose Roberto Contino. Rattazzi
      and Pomarol
      are very deep, but sometimes (often!) a bit hard to
      understand for
      experimentalists. Dobrescu would do a great job, as would
      Csaki. And
      dont forget M.Strassler

 ..one more suggestion for this will be Grojean. He does give
very clear talks. 4.30-5.00

      I would add one more suggestion here. A. Belyaev. Also
      has the advantage of bringing

      Calos is a fine choice for this. How about Pietro

      and Prospects

      9.00--9.45     Status of LHC Machine and plans for sLHC
      (Scandale,
      Rossi)
      MLM>  Rossi is an excellent speaker, but is mostly a
      hardware man.
      Scandale is more knowledgeable about the overall
      programme, including
      commissioning of the beams etc.

      Theory Summary (if you keep it on the agenda): if would
      be nice to
      force someone of high stature, who would not otherwise
      attend and who
      does not have interests too focused on any given topic of
      the
      conference, take this responsibility. E.g. Michael
      Peskin, who I am
      sure is interested in getting more engaged in hadron
      collider
      physics. Or people like Grinstein, Kaplan. Or J.Lykken,
      if you allow
      local people. From our community, I think that Bryan
      Webber would be
      a very good choice; workwise he is focused on qcd, but
      has a broad
      perspective.

 
I agree with MLM's suggestions. Would like to add Sally Dawson's name
to
this list of suggested names. She too has a broad perspective.

Hope these comments are useful. I am away the whole day (mine) and
